Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

Travis Benjamin on the season: 6 rec, 204 yds, 34.0 ypc, 3 TDs, with TD catches of 50, 54, and 60 yards.

Will Browns fans finally stop whining about not having a "big time wide receiver"?

I have a hard time calling any sub 6' WR a big time receiver. Benjamin has as much quickness as anyone in the NFL, but when I think of a big time WR I want a big, strong, fast guy that you can go to even if he is covered and he can come down with the ball. Benjamin is great on the other side of the 50, but they need someone that can beat coverage in the red zone and make a play. Benjamin isn't that guy. I think that's why a lot of us were hoping Pryor would stick. Maybe we can try one of those 4 TE NE looks.

I guess the answer to my question is "no".

I'd want to see more before I made that call.
Great start though.

re:exhawg -- I imagine that's what they brought Bowe, Hartline, Mayle, and Pryor in for. As Seattle showed in the Super Bowl - you don't need that RZ guy to be a world beater. He can be a bit player. Unfortunately they cut Mayle and Pryor when they probably should've cut Bowe.
We went from talking about how all we had were big possession guys to only having burners. The Front Office is kinda stupid?
