Just traded for Andy Lee. Paint those endzones!!!
Well they do have a new long snapper so this only makes sense:wink: I wondered when they were going to get rid of old Spencer. He certainly was not a model of consistency.

Oh, I forgot this makes a complete redo of our special teams since we got rid of Billy Cundiff. It will be interesting to see how these rookie PK's do in the NFL

Re: The Cleveland Browns are moving on from punter Spencer Lanning in favor of 11-year NFL veteran Andy Lee, whom the team acquired in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers, the Niners announced Saturday.
The Browns traded a seventh-round pick in 2017 for the rights to Lee and released Lanning. Lee is a three-time Pro Bowler who was no longer in the 49ers' plans after the team drafted Clemson punter Bradley Pinion in the fifth round.

Why didn't the Browns save the draft pick by just waiting and sign him after the 49ers release him? The 49ers aren't going to carry 2 punters.

I assume b/c if you wait for waivers, then you have to be the highest bidder. And there'd probably be a few teams looking to snag a P on the cheap ? With a trade, it's guaranteed at a price they're apparently comfortable with.

According to minicamp reports (iif you do not know where to find them you do not belong on this thread:biggrin2: ) it looks like the Browns are headed for the Super Bowl. McCown is the next coming of Frank Ryan with a very strong arm:wink: and on top of that we have the best defense in the NFL and probably the best offensive line. We might be lacking at the skill positions but we have picked up a good Buckeye in Shane Wynn who can run to daylight.

I will say, even some of writers that constantly spew their negative articles on things that really don't require such attention are even giving some solid praise for how McCown has shown out.

If he can be the good side of Hoyer and the oline can stay healthy, picking up from where they left off in October - this team realistically has a shot against anyone. Odd saying that

Is this a way of saying he's an Ohioan or am I missing something.
