Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

I wouldn't get too caught up in combine results. Some of them are useful and are position specific but some are a waste.

Mayle is definitely a project but has a high ceiling....still learning the position, could definitely develop into a stretch TE.

yeah thats not true at all, especially when it comes to the explosion drills like verticle, broad, 10 yard split and shuttle. Sure you might have some who out play their combine but more often than not the combine is very important. and Mayle doesn't have a high ceiling, a high floor maybe but not a high ceiling. He also has already quit football once and almost didnt come back.

Whatever you wish to believe....most important part if you ask any and every scout from the combine is, A) medical evals, B) interviews. Splits are position specific, vertical is not what you build it up to be, etc.

Tape is where scouts are watching; the combines, both Indy and school specific, are more for the two previously mentioned points.

where are you getting your information from because tthe same person you quoted before has this to say

From CBSSports.com's Dane Brugler on Vince Mayle:
"A former basketball player at the JUCO level, he is viewed as a hybrid tight end by some scouts, but showed more natural receiving traits as a senior and although he's not quite as gifted as Louisville's DeVante Parker, Mayle is a prospect in the similar mold. It's clear he's still learning the tricks of the trade and his passion for football needs to be addressed, but Mayle is an easy player to get excited about with his size, athleticism and the upside his talent suggests - projects as a NFL starter in year two."

look at recent history, outside of a handful of WRs like Bolding and Rice types, WRs who dont test well in all aspects dont have good NFL careers. his tape is pretty bad as well, 13-19 drops depending on who reports it (ive seen more of 13 but some say 19) and then theres this.

looks like Vince Mayle covered kicks in college. Will be an important skill for him in 2015. Doubt he plays much on O. STs key. # Browns

So, so far people are reporting him as a Hback/TE/ST guy and less of a WR, and for my reasons already stated.

I am looking for information from reliable sources and not just your personal opinions and taking comments out of context. Go back a page and look at what you said Bugler stated according to you. I have a link which compares them to Parker in a year or two.

So cleveland.com is a reliable source now? Im not sure what your looking for that you cant find on every scouting report possible. your post just isn't making any sense.
