Personally, I would have liked Petty. He's got good physical traits, nice arm and good touch on the ball. Just needs to flush out that Baylor system and get his eyes adjusted to the NFL level. I think there's big upside.
he is supposed to be extremely athleticFirst pick i dont like and think he shouldn't have even been drafted, big slow WR with small and inconsistant hands, had 13 drops this past season, almost as many as funchess. his 1.67 10 yard split is almost the same as OLB Nate Orchards 1.70. He also quit football a few years ago and had to be talked into playing this year. i guess the Browns just felt like they were going to draft a guy just to draft him, dont count on him being more than a PS guy
For a player whose technical abilities draw criticism from many experts, Mayle be one of the most exciting receiving prospects in the draft. After playing basketball in junior college before switching to football in 2012, Mayle became a steady presence out wide for Washington State in 2013 and 2014, playing in all 25 games. He tied for fourth in FBS with 106 receptions his senior season and ranked fifth with 1,483 receiving yards, both of which rank as the school's single-season records. Mayle's athleticism allows him to track down the deep pass and dig in to create separation on underneath routes, and his strength makes him a tough cover in 50-50 situations. He can quickly get to top speed off the line, which poses problems for pressure cornerbacks, and although his first step isn't as devastating as the draft's top receivers, he more than proved his ability as a big-play receiver with touchdown receptions of 81 yards and 90 yards in 2014. Mayle's downside is experience, which comes to light primarily in press coverages. He's technically unsound and can occasionally struggle to break free from defenders despite superior athleticism. His route running is poor, his hands are suspect and he's prone to drops - 13 in 2014. But as a physical receiver who can fight through pressure at the line and win jump balls down the field, Mayle's potential will make him well worth a mid-round selection.

he's not though, either that or he just got nervous at the combine, his combine results were below average, 35 Inch vert, 9'9 broad jump, 1.70 10 yard split and an almost 4.7 40. Brugler from NFL seems to think he's going to be a HBack/TE and not really a WR.
