You're right they weren't, hence why they drafted him. Thanks for making my point. you think that would get Farmer fired? Ha good one. guy is Jimmys right hand man more than Banner was. Remind me, what failed test did he have at OU? Kids been clean for over a year at least when it comes to getting tested, not like he's Josh Gordon who needs drugs like he needs water. (Edit: thought he got kicked out in 2013) Kid has stayed clean, maybe just needed out of Missouri and away from certain people.

I didn't make your point, I (sarcastically) highlighted that taking players with red flags of characters has backfired in the face of this team. Do I think it would get Farmer fired? Not likely, but the seat would be awfully warm, awfully quick.

I also don't give a shit about failed tests at OU. Gordon supposedly hadn't smoked since his time away from Baylor, sure didn't stop him. More to the point, you believe a kid with a history of weed use (and assault on women) who has been so micromanaged in college will stay straight with new-found wealth and freedom as a professional? That's naive in a way I haven't seen since.... when the Brownies took Mr Foosball this time last year.

Yeah who needs playmakers anyway. Lets not forget how great of a person Jim Brown (tons of alleged legal troube) is either, or Should probably release Armonty Bryant (alleged sold weed to a cop, might as well cut Dwayne Bowe (alleged weed problem and was suspended) as well, Randy Starks (alleged Wife beater) , etc ah hell who needs quality players? also gotta eliminate Randy Gregory, Danny Shelton and others of the same ilk off the draft board. ah hell, who needs a winning team, as long as they are law abiding citizens thats all that matters.

Nice argument. Lets not only reach back 50+ years to bring up Jim Brown, a 7th round pick in Monty, but then you bring up players that have kept their noses clean while being in the league (Bowe, Starks). Also, I don't want Gregory because he's a marginal talent. Shelton I can't find a thing on, unless his crime is being Samoan?

As good as a WR DGB is if he did not have some character issues,, whatever they might be, he would be off the board before pic #19 so other teams might not want to draft him because of the problems he has had.

Since I am the old man of the crowd, Jim Brown did not have any problems coming out of college. None whatsoever. The only problem that I can remember Brown having during his playing days with Cleveland was that John Wooten (I think you know what position he now holds in the NFL) and Brown were accused of sexual assault back in the late 50s or early 60s. After his playing days, I am sure that Brown got into a few altercations but none before he was drafted by the Browns.

Let's see here - brand new poster with a hockey player's name. Immediately starts trying to throw haymakers at established posters in 3 or 4 Ohio sports teams threads, and who only makes combative posts when others counter whatever point he's trying to make....

This is clearly Foligno or whatever that guys name was from back in October...oh and not to mention reporting my posts when he realizes he's been discovered yet again :slappy:

I'm sure the hilarious PMs will start any time now...
