Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Fuck that. Billionaire sports team owners should build their own fucking stadiums. (I get it, though. Billionaire sports team owners don't make billions of dollars because they spend their *own* money, they make it because they spend their fans' money.)

Art Modell is the biggest bloodsucking vampire in the history of professional sports.
And yet he was somehow still the only NFL owner in history to lose money. And some idiots STILL want to see his bloated carcass in the HOF.

Fire the guy who didn't call the plays and had to make due without his best player (by a country mile) and both starting tackles :slappy:

Brownsing for the win!
What does any of that have to do with letting AVP go? Maybe he wasn't a fit for coaching Watson. Maybe he was pushing for things that didn't align with Stefanski's strategy. Maybe he was just a dick. There's plenty of things to dig at the Browns for but these coaching changes aren't anything tragic.

Tragic? No, they just don’t seem to address any of the problems. Unlike almost every other year since 1999, I don’t think anyone looked at this team that made the playoffs and said “obviously the OC was the problem.”

Still not understanding the mindset of Watson being 'The' or really even 'a' problem. His contract creates issues, but the problem with what unfolded this season was that the moment we saw Deshaun and the offense begin to bloom, that hope was immediately snuffed out. I go back to that Ravens game, it was that win which made a push to the playoffs possible and the team used as a springboard to finish the season from.

The Ravens have faced

Jared Goff
Justin Herbert
CJ Stroud
Trevor Lawrence
Brock Purdy
Geno Smith
Tua
Matt Stafford

All of them did not beat Baltimore. More to the point, of that lot, only one QB helped his offense score more than 20 points, with several being held under 10.

Watson lit the Ravens up for 3 quarters through injury that required season ending surgery.

Health is an issue, coaching may be an issue, personnel may be an issue. But when Watson started flashing, he flashed like he used to in Houston that made him one of the better young QBs in the NFL. Talent is not a problem there.
