Browns HC Stefanski: Yelling in Locker Room After Loss to Ravens Is 'Normal Football'

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski downplayed the significance of his team's reaction to a 23-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
According to multiple reports, there was audible yelling coming from Cleveland's locker room. Stefanski chalked it up as "normal football."
Browns star Myles Garrett added it reflected how badly the players wanted to win the game:

Missed this game, but pretty much figured it would end up the same. I wasn’t disappointed!
The Browns basically played an even game against one of the better teams in football, the difference being the traditional 3-point home field advantage.

That was an acceptable loss. Every 12-5 team will have a loss or two like that, because sometimes you're good but your opponent is a little better. That's life in the NFL.

The problem is, the Browns are staring down the barrel of a 5-12 season and already have three unacceptable losses (Chargers, Falcons, Jets) on their résumé.

They need to figure out a way to win a couple more games before Watson comes back just to have some good feelings going into the end of the season. I'm guessing there will have to be changes on the defensive side next year because either the scheme or the players aren't good enough. It will be interesting to see if Watson can knock the rust off. He hasn't played in a long time and he may never be the same player after getting raked through the coals for his happy endings. They have only played one true stinker of a game this year with the other loses all being due to a few bad plays.

I'd have to disagree with all of those.

- The Chargers have a young and capable franchise QB along with a team that has given some of the best (KC) a run for their money.

- ATL is a team built to sneak wins away from squads not prepared or able to win a methodical, slow and physical game.

- The Jets are a QB away from being damn good. Wilson and Sauce are two of the better rookies at their position(s) the latter especially. Hall and Berrios (spell check) are good offensive compliments, while their defense has some good players as well up front.

There just appears to be a great deal of parity outside of those teams that have a dominant franchise QB.

Edit: I should correct myself and say that I agree with you about the Jets game, in the sense that the Browns had zero business losing the manner they did. So, yes, that is unacceptable.
