Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Remember when the NFL postponed that Ravens game last season and didn’t offer the same courtesy to other teams?

I do.

Well shit, sorry I doubted you NFL.

Completely ridiculous and absolutely fucking stupid to have a no reschedule policy during a global health crisis, so I’m glad they finally decided to put player safety ahead of money for the first time in the history of the league.

Not sure the extra couple days will matter though.

Completely ridiculous and absolutely fucking stupid that Browns fans think that the rules shouldn't apply to their team. You'd be the first people whining about the NFL postponing a game to benefit the Steelers or the Ravens or the Bengals.

Eh, 2 other games are getting pushed as well.

Here's the thing, I think the "no postponement" was to get NFL teams to lean on people to get vaxxed. In the Browns case, I think all but one are. And I think Myles Garrett made the point that vaxxed people are only tested once a week... which means its hard to weed people out before its spread.

So, its pretty clear that the rules here didn't consider the prevalence of breakthrough cases.

Also, because the vaxxed folks only get tested once a week, it may matter if they push it back because some people may have tested positive as long ago as the 7th (theoretically) - also who the frick picked Monday as the test date, you know, after everyone has been on a plane and beat each other all to hell in hand to hand combat the day before. You're probably not going to test positive yet from Sunday, and its too late to prevent that interaction.

Well, probably because last season the NFL postponed a Ravens game and didn’t offer that courtesy to any other NFL team (until now, which I just addressed). A little confused by not only your post, but the tone of it.

They literally did exactly what you said last year and it was a point of discussion in NFL circles. Because it was bullshit.

Anyways, can you point out where a Browns fan said the rules should only apply to the Browns? Or where a Browns fan was expecting exclusive treatment, specific to the Browns? Unless I’ve completely misunderstood your post, it sounds like you have created a strawman argument while sounding like a complete asshole.

Anyone know if any of these guys are actually sick and at risk of bad things happening to them, or just testing positive and being cautious?
Well, I think that brings up the question of how much they should be testing asymptomatic vaccinated people. If covid is endemic, its going to get transmitted... If the point of the vaccine is to decouple the illness from the virus*... Then why are they not playing or even being tested.

*This is debatable for sure, but, that's what we're getting.

ESPN ticker just said "vaccinated players may be tested less going forward." Seems they are at least trying to be smarter about stuff with regards to testing.
