I lead, you follow.
Maybe I watch too much of the Browns defense, but I feel like I see a lot of WR's running around open thanks to scheme rather than coverage. I don't know how Baker sees the below pre-snap read and decides that he's throwing it to OBJ. Perhaps he underthrew OBJ by 5 yards leading to the pick, but Landry looks wide open for an easy 10 yard gain on the other side.
Yes, Landry was open when he settled on the backside. In hindsight, not the worst decision by Baker. OBJ has 1 on 1 with a step on the CB and the safety can't recover. It was a (very) poor throw. You'll notice a lot of the commentary and articles since this game have been about the coaches praising Baker on getting his eyes in the right place and being more within the offense. This is a classic example. It isn't an OBJ issue, it's a Baker issue. Wanting to use your Lambo is great, but for your daily commute I recommend sticking with the Honda - Landry in this case. The throw to juice is high percentage but Baker LOVES the flashy shit and always has. If you go back the next 4-5 games past this point, you'll see Baker locking onto Landry at times as well with some near disastrous results that are fortunate bounces the Browns way at times. Like I said, it's a Baker issue. One he's still working the knots out of.
