Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

I didn't watch the game last night, but can we get that Steelers team to show up in Cleveland week 17? Is one legged Alex Smith really that much better than Haskins? Maybe the NFC East has improved a lot since the Browns beat most of them earlier this season. I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks when the Browns play the improved Giants. One thing that seems pretty clear is the Browns are built to win in the cold windy weather and if you sell out to stop Chubb and Hunt Baker at least has a chance to make you pay. The defense has improved as the season has gone on and should get better when Ward and Harrison get healthy. The Browns are starting to get some respect so this is usually when they lay a turd in the next game.

With the Steelers 2nd loss the game tonight is huge for the Browns. The door is still open for the division, but they have to win out. Dominating the Titans like they did in the first half opened some eyes, but if they can do it in a consecutive game against the Ravens in prime time it would make the season. I've only been a Browns fan since the return so I literally can't image what it would be like to play the Steelers in the last game of the season with the division on the line.

Looks like low 30's and a nice 20mph breeze off the Lake. That's not quite a bad weather game but enough to complicate throwing the ball. Jackson isn't exactly the type of guy that throws lasers anyway.

I anticipate both teams showing a deep commitment to running the ball.

(Deep insightful football analysis by AKAK, also, try not to turn the ball over)

This is interesting, though, and really almost a must win for the Ravens.

A few weeks ago I was just hoping the Browns would be 8-4 by holding serve against trash teams and come into this week feeling pretty good about having the tiebreaker over the Colts. (And, I'm honestly feeling pretty good about having the tiebreaker over whoever is second in the South...)

But hey, 9-3 all alone in 2nd, and one game back, playing on Monday Night in what should be a close game, ok, I can dig it.

You won’t this year either

I think Lamar for whatever reason poses unique problems for this defense...I don’t expect a great result tonight. They will make the playoffs and will still be a tough out if they don’t play Lamar.
