It feels like this is going to come down to a battle between Moneyball and Jimmah. Moneyball probably prefers Stefanski. If they hire McDaniel it it likely Jimmah overruling, which will mean bye bye Moneyball so McDaniel and whichever JCU buddy he brings from NE will have full control. This isn't really a good look for the Browns since Moneyball's contract is up soon and he probably has some level of self preservation pushing him to hire a coach that wants him around. They'll probably end up with Daboll so he can use Kitchens' wardrobe. I think it's also required that the HC looks like he came straight to the stadium after a morning of hunting the whole month of November.

Not that I should talk but... I'd prefer a HC that didn't look like he just ate the entire wild hog as a result of his hunting... Browns should donate Kitchen's wardrobe to the homeless shelter for tents

I think you are right for the most part. Seems like Stefanski is the guy they should hire, but Jimmy just has to step in it at every opportunity so he is probably going to force them to hire a worse fit in McDaniels, who will flame out and be fired in 2 years.

I think it will boil down to McDaniels and his roommate from college or McCarthy and Wolf. I do not think that they can drag this out too long or it is going to be that much more of a screw up.
