Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Great start. :slappy:
They are definitely playing like an 0-17 team today

Yes it is a great start, the Browns have a lot to play for this season. Unfortunately it isn't the playoffs, it's 0-17 and the #1 pick in the 2027 NFL draft for a "franchise QB".

The Cleveland Browns missed out on several franchise-altering quarterbacks over the years by either selecting other players or passing on them in later rounds.

Notable Quarterbacks Passed Over
    • 1999 Draft: The Browns took Tim Couch with the No. 1 overall pick instead of future Pro Football Hall of Famer [13 Pro Bowls] Donovan McNabb, who went No. 2 to the Philadelphia Eagles.
    • 2004 Draft: Holding the No. 6 pick, Cleveland selected tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. while future Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 11.
    • 2012 Draft: In the third round of the same draft where they took Brandon Weeden in the first, the Browns could have drafted Russell Wilson, who went to the Seattle Seahawks later that round.
    • 2018 Draft: While the Browns selected Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick, analyst discussions and hindsight point out they were in position to draft Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson earlier or later in that same loaded quarterback class.

“Tire World” “Todd, Charlie Donovan with the Cleveland Browns. How would you like to coach the Browns this year?” “Gee, I don’t know…” “What do you mean you don’t know. This is your chance to coach in the NFL!” “Let me get back to you, will ya Charlie? I got a guy on the other line asking about some whitewalls.”
