I mean, don't underestimate the Browns - the only surprise is if they don't do something surprising. But am I missing something, or has Allar been very mediocre in his time at Penn State? Maybe this year will be different...

I listened to a chunk of PFT with Florio and Sims this morning. They dedicated a majority of the show to the Sanders/Browns situation.

No he has not. Wildly mediocre with some glimpses of good play is all I have seen. He is vastly overrated and if it wasn't for Warren, Singleton and Allen saving his ass at times, his stats would look even worse.

All the talk has been that this was a bad QB class and next year will be better, but I feel like they are making a lot of guesses on improvement over the next year. One guy has only started a few games and backed up a 7th rounder for 2 years. Allar hasn't been impressive so far, but maybe he comes out on fire next year and leads Ped State to a 16-0 NC. If so, a Medina kid being the next QB for the Browns is a good story. That being said Downs is a can't miss player so I'd love to get him.

but but but SIZE....and ARM TALENT...and PEDIGREE. I mean sure, there is plenty of mediocre game film to look at, but JUST LOOK AT WHAT HE CAN DO IN WORKOUT SHORTS AGAINST NO DEFENSE. ALL THE THROWS. I swear "football people" can't get over themselves. It's the same shit every time a guy like him comes out.
