Maybe the Bungles fans on the board know more about this guy, but he seems like a run defending DT that could open the door to bump Richardson out to DE on running downs and cut Vernon.

Why would I move my best 3tech to a possible edge roll?
Edit: that's not to say that there aren't looks that we Could use 3 bigger interior bodies on the field. Some of the double eagle looks we used vs Baltimore and their QB driven running game are a prime example.
