Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

But…why?
Even the homeless dude doesn’t want to work for this owner. Good call by him!

No seasoned coach worth anything wants to work with Haslam, nor Barry for that matter. Their reputation has screwed the team and they know it.

That said, word on the street is that McDaniel told Haslam that there simply weren’t enough sausage shops at the West Side Market and with the recent trend of self checkout lines at grocery stores, bag boys were too hard to find in order for him to seriously consider Cleveland as his destination.

What an indictment of how much of a mess the franchise is. They should be embarrassed. They aren’t, but they should be. I’m trying to come up with how to describe how pathetic the front office and ownership are. Laughing stock? Land fill (the stadium was built on one)? Shameful? Humiliation?

I don't blame McDaniel one bit. @NFBuck is spot on too. Why waste 2-3 years of your life at a dead end coaching situation? Why subject yourself to be demoralized when you do get canned. The presser when Stefanski got fired raised some eyebrows with the comments from both Barry and Haslam. They threw him under the bus. Everyone noticed and took note, except the two people in the room who needed the deepest self reflection.

Maybe they go with the young kid from Jacksonville and hope they catch lightning in a bottle. If I were him, I’d say thanks but no thanks too. Maybe then Haslam will get a wake up call and realize he’s the unpolished turd in the steaming pile of NFL ownership.

I can't imagine them getting anyone besides someone trying another time around to be a head coach in the NFL.

They have a meddlesome owner that has made the wrong decision every time. A GM who has a weak draft record. No QB of the future. Not much hope with the O-line.

The organization may find lightning in a bottle with their hire, but the history with the Haslams says it will be another abject failure.

Hey, but at least they are getting their new stadium funded with public dollars. (sarcasm font).

They’re just going to recycle Schwartz. I’d be surprised if it was anyone else. They’ll try to grab a lower level guy looking for a shot as an OC. And we’ll be back having the conversation in 1-3 years.
