AKA stated the obvious
Oh, for sure. But it’s refreshing to see somebody come out and say it very publicly. Sashi was an unmitigated disaster, something that, once again, BP called from the jump.

I wish he came out and said it that way.

Pretty close...

"You know what? You gotta get a guy like that players. And you know what, I'll come straight out with it, the guys who were here before and that system, they didn't get real players."

I saw/heard the quote. I just really wish he said the roster was a bunch of dogshit and pussies. I also wish he mentioned Sashi by name and then talked a little about how fucked Williams is for wanting Peppers so the defense could line up fucking 10 vs 11 every play. Brilliant!

How little fact could there be? The roster IS dogshit and pussies. As for improving the situation, the dogshit and pussies either improve or get cut. Win-win. Get better or addition by subtraction. The perception of the FO is what it is. They’ve earned all of it. It is reality.

Only way they turn it around IMHO is with a veteran coaching staff and veteran QB. Use the mega load of draft choices to surround the QB with a quality supporting staff and defense. I don't see any of these QBs coming out helping the situation and there are plenty of available QBs on the market.

Flip side is to draft Mayfield and get him killed, which would be nice.....

I hope Darnold does go back to school. Fuck him. Wouldn’t want the Browns drafting that bust anyway. I saw Wannstedt talking about how after the 2016 season, Darnold was everyone’s consensus #1 pick and yada yada yada...

Then he comes back and looks average and it’s because “he bought in to the hype or couldn’t handle it” or what not. Sheeeeeeit. I wonder what kind of pressure comes with being the #1 pick in the NFL draft and having the entire Browns nation counting on you to save a destined to fail franchise? That guy would have piss frozen pants.

Maybe (probably) Wannstedt’s take is wrong. Still don’t want the guy so if he doesn’t want to be in Cleveland, he can fuck off to somewhere else.

Blessing in disguise for Cleveland but rude awakening for Sammy boy. He isn’t going #1 next year. This year has a weak overall crop of QB talent, it seems. My guess is someone better comes along next year who is worthy of #1 ahead of Darnold.

I mean, they have the best LT in the NFL, and a pro bowl rg. Mccorty, Collins, and kirksey are all legit starters on most NFL teams.

Back to my standard statement. Expansion team, 5 wins in two years, maybe 5 guys that would start for this team.....

They still had couch and Johnson for most of those games, but in reality even if you adjust for that, its really about the same. (I mean, with somewhat competent QB play, and a receiver that should actually be on an NFL field... these guys might have won one or two more Maybe, who knows)

But even if it is "the same" its really bad.

No doubt there are some solid players on this team. Calling JT solid is an understatement, even. But the roster is 53 men and there are 40+ turds and pussies. I won’t even waste my breath on the FG situation but Jesus Christ...
