maybe a real GM will force him to hire an OC or make him choose between being a Head Coach or an Offensive Coordinator? And we’re keeping Jackson....mkay pumpkin....the QB whisperer he isn’t....
Well he isn’t good at either, so again why are they keeping him.....maybe a real GM will force him to hire an OC or make him choose between being a Head Coach or an Offensive Coordinator?
I'm usually a guy who thinks things will get better. I'm afraid I'm at a point where I no longer believe that. As long as that ignorant, crooked hillbilly that the NFL foisted upon Cleveland is the owner of this team you will be looking at historic, epic FAIL. Hue Jackson is arguably the worst coach in NFL history - and I'm not only talking about his record (which speaks for itself). And yet, despite 1 win, ONE FUCKING WIN, in 2 years without another one in sight, some fucking idiots are defending him. Just mind-bogglingly stupid. Not only is he an historically awful coach, but he's a backstabbing, power-grabbing, cancer to boot. He should have been canned at the bye week, yet the fucking hillbilly cans Sashi Brown. Now, I'm not saying Brown didn't make his fair share of fuck ups - but he hasn't been HISTORICALLY [Mark May]TY. Jackson has. Fucking fuck.
In ever-so-slight defense of the crooked hill jack, you have to realize that every, and I mean EVERY SINGLE, football person that he talks to is telling him that the non-football analytics people are the problem. Football people like Hue and believe in Hue a lot more than they do Harvard numbers-pushers. Listening to Chris Landry on local radio is enough to give the sense of what he is constantly hearing when he talks to anyone who has anything to do with the football side of the NFL. And here’s the problem, the walking gonad has dug himself into a corner by firing everyone every 2 years. So, naturally, the football people will tell him it’s the analytics people he has to get rid of.I'm usually a guy who thinks things will get better. Well, honestly, Sashi was ultimately responsible for the roster, and it is also historically bad. So choosing between him and Hue is simply a chicken/egg situation.I'm usually a guy who thinks things will get better. I'm afraid I'm at a point where I no longer believe that. And, and I can't believe I'm gonna say this, letting Hue come back for another year is probably the right move. Not necessarily from an "on-field" point of view, because the chances are they're gonna be equally as terrible next year with him as coach, but in a hiring sense. Think about it...what coach worth a hot damn is gonna want to come coach this mess? At least if you hold off on axing Hue, you have a ton of salary cap room and a boat load of draft picks to let the new guy improve the roster some. Maybe next year the roster won't be so damned unappealing.
Probably a moot point, because I will be surprised if Dorsey doesn't talk Haslam out of bringing back Hue, unless he has the same line of thinking I outlined above.
Exactly. And I will say again: how in the fuck can any know what kind of quality players they have? The dipshit coach doesn't put them in any position to play to their strengths. There is something that someone quoted where the Browns are in the top 10 or so in yards per rush but near the bottom in number of rushes. In addition they are among the bottom feeders in terms of yards per pass yet are one of the top teams in number of passes. That is it in black-and-fucking-white why Jackson is an idiot. The leaks, power grabs and backstabbing are all just a cherry on the shit sundae. Not a single one of you can definitively say that these players are shit because you have no goddamned way of telling.Sorry, but horse[Mark May]. Chris Palmer managed 5 wins in two years with a roster that was garbage. You can probably count the number of guys from those teams that would start for the 2017 browns on one hand, with fingers to spare.
This browns team is not good, but the coaching staff is a disaster.
