But seriously though, this is what the guy has on his twitter profile:

Signing Kaepernick is just his way of getting something to write about. It's not like it'll fix this team either this year in the future.

As a Niners fan, I'm quite familiar with Colin Kaepernick. Is he better than any QB they have on their roster? Absolutely. Would he make a quark of a difference on this current team? Absolutely not.

I agree. I'm only suggesting it for the entertainment value.

The Browns are bad and they're boring. A little controversy would help to mitigate the boring part, but they'd still be bad.

I know. People need to stop with the Kaepernick shit. Dude wasn't that good (and rode a very good defense as it was) and once the NFL figured him out, he was ineffective.

Exactly. If he was Aaron Rodgers he could moon the crowd during the anthem and still have a job.

He was actually surprisingly effective/efficient last year after three years of trending downward (thanks, Ryan Day!). He'll never be the superstar he was in 2012 and part of 2013, but he's better than probably 50% of the QBs on NFL rosters right now. Could he lead a team to a SB? Doubt it. Could he get a team with a solid supporting cast to the playoffs? Last year's play suggests yes.

He started a movement that is very unpopular with a lot of people and now he's dealing with the fallout.

when you look at the QB's in the league its tough to say he wouldn't be a better option than most for a backup QB...

But that brings a whole other level of things into consideration. Football is a business as much as it is a game. And most coaches don't like distractions and most franchises don't like paying backups with baggage more than the going backup QB rate.....either way it's a headache the Browns don't need....
