If there was something resembling a history of successful drafting I could see stockpiling draft picks but if you suck at drafting (which they do, something fierce) then you are best off limiting your risk by limiting the number of chances you give yourself to fuck something up.

Every draft pick is pure risk to these clowns.

Which is why they keep trading for future years. They don't want to pick anybody. They're probably readying for a QB next year and then won't take one. This franchise needs to die.
