Cleveland Browns (2016 thread of unrelenting dumpster conflagration)

That would hurt.

sting, yes. but it would be the smart play. assuming, yes assuming, the browns actually do things right and rebuild, they aren't going to be really competitive for a few years. using up some of a rb's prime years letting him get his ass kicked while you retool the roster, while you already have 2 capable rb's on the roster just isn't great resource allocation.

needless to say, i'm sure the browns will find a way to select the right mix of players to make me want to throw up in my mouth. therefore, i'm just assuming they'll take buckner at #8 and connor cook at #32.

That's what Ray Farmer would have done. Or Mike Lombardi. I am hoping these guys are different...but then, I have visions of them drafting Myles Jack and him blowing out his knee on the way up to the stage too.
