In the end, I'm with this.Fuck it. 7-4.
It feels pretty damn good to see the Browns win, as shitty as it looks getting there.

With Gordon's performance yesterday, it makes one wonder if the Browns would have won one of the four games that they lost. Cannot think of a specific game but he just add so much to the offense including the running game.
Clock management, as has been stated by others, is a serious problem for Pettine and perhaps he should get someone else to manage the clock or maybe that is the problem. I cannot believe that the guy has coached football for so many years and still has no idea what he is doing when it comes to time. Bitonio saved his ass this game and I certainly hope that he has learned something.
it will be interesting to see if Rich Stadium will be ready for the draft bowl next Sunday. They could always play the game in Cleveland
Its progress that many of us wanted to see. I believe our average (tempered) expectations heading into the season were 7-9 wins and competitive ball with a win over those fuckers in Pittsburgh. Its happened, we fell just short the first time and blew them out the 2nd go around.
This in despite most of the season being missed by Mack, Phil Taylor, Cameron, Monty and Gordon. Also with a slew of injuries that have effected playing time in Winn, Hughes, Desmond, Rub, K'Waun, Dansby and now Gipson.
A lesser team would have completely folded. Do I think this is an elite squad? No. Would be get bounced from the playoffs in the 1st round? Most likely.
If 7-4 is our new version of [Mark May]ty, then I'll take it. First time in 7 years without a double digit losing season. God damn it, there might be good football to be played in Cleveland and I might live to see it.
That's exciting to me.
Speaking of Manziel ... just saw thisI'm pretty sure the game will be in Buffalo unless they get more snow between now and then. If not my guess would be Meadowlands.
Back to your first question. How many games have the Browns lost in the last minute or two? If Gordon had been playing the whole season I would guess they would have 2 more wins. His timing with Hoyer would have been a little better as well so yesterdays game probably wouldn't have come down to a 44 second drive for the win.
Speaking of Hoyer I feel bad for anyone that gives him a huge contract after the season. I love the moxie, but as this point I can't tell if he's winning games or holding them back. I'd offer him a 2 year deal worth $10 mil with escalators based on % of snaps taken and making the playoffs. Not saying Manziel is the answer either. If the Cowboys want to give me their first and a kicker in 2016 for Manziel I take it and try to find my QB of the future with one of my 3 first rounders this year.
Yesterday was a time management derp off between the two coaches and Smith went full derp for the win.
In addition to that, I think with Gordon in the lineup they would have helped our running game in a few of our losses because the safeties would not have been so close to the LOS and the LB's would have had to pay some attention to our passing game.I'm pretty sure the game will be in Buffalo unless they get more snow between now and then. Regarding Hoyer, I feel the same way I am not endured with his accuracy and this is a very friendly QB offense he is managing. I doubt if anyone is going to give us anything for Johnny without first seeing him in a professional game so he probably will be in Cleveland for some time unless Hoyer does not learn to slide.
Never underestimate Jerry Jones.
So if Gibson is done for the year who is the new FS? I'm guessing Williams gets the first crack at it and Gilbert sees time as the 3rd CB.
