Cleveland Browns (2014 Season)

This team probably won't win another game, but at least we've shown some promise this year.

Still need to work in the trenches and build depth on the Oline. But meaningful football in November is a rarity. So I'm enjoying it while I can.

2 more games until they get Gordon back. If they can somehow split them (doubtful as it will be) the end of the season could get interesting. Given the Bungles tendency to derp big games and the Browns tendency to derp at any time Thursday might be a derpfest for the ages.

Oline picked it up a bit in the 2nd half. Some more time to gel can help a little but let's be honest, Gerald McCoy sat during a few of those nice plays.

Only redeeming thing here is that the Bungles have had trouble with their defensive interior lately.

Still, like you guys say - probably a derp fest.

Bungles D looked very ordinary against Jax. Upcoming derporama will be epic.

As long as the OL stays healthy they should get better as the season goes on since they'll gain chemistry with McDonald and can scheme around the weak link. When Mack got hurt I thought that he was the 3rd or 4th most important lineman on the Browns offense. I now realize that he was the cog that made the rest of the line go so he was actually 1 or a very close 2 to Thomas.

Regardless of the derp level the Browns haven't had their best offensive weapon yet this season and their second best weapon has missed at least a few games. As glad as I am they signed Tate, I actually think they would be better off right now if he was the #3 back. Given the depth at RB I would be surprised if Tate is with the team next year.

Thursday will be a true test for the Browns. The old Browns would get rolled in a Thursday night game against the division leader.

The OL had a better showing in the second half, again that was with McCoy sitting a few plays. All three of our backs seem to have a hot hand and thats about it.
Pettine sat Crow because he values ball security and that was his issue this week in practice. I don't expect Tate to be back next year either with a full year under our rookie RB's belt(s).

You make a fine point, our best offensive weapon has been suspended in all our games and our second best can't seem to stay healthy.

I think Thursday will be a pretty close game. I don't expect a win, I'll be pleasantly surprised if we win.

If gio Bernard plays then cinci will roll the browns. If he doesn't, it will simply be a mild ass kicking. Carlos Dunlap and peko are probably tossing off after watching Greco and McDonald today.
