My take:

I know that fumbles are part of the game but without that Whitner hit I think the Browns would have lost.

Hoyer is not the answer and I am not saying that Johnny Football is but I would like to see him play in a regular-season game. Just to see. Carr might have been a good pick in last year's draft when it comes to just throwing the ball.

Hoyer lacks arm strength and his inability to run makes the rollout passes almost worthless and that has been true all season.

Run defense is still very poor and it makes me wonder about Pettine's coaching scheme.

Whitner has been coming on strong as the enforcer the last couple days. That hit on McFadden was textbook.

I don't think putting Manziel in is going to 'show' you much. The offense lacks a vertical threat, the Oline is trying to find itself without Mack and the ground game suffers for it. Those bootlegs would even be hard to pull off with Foosball.

Carr in the 2nd would have been wonderful but it is what it is.

I think the run defense is a combination of scheme and talent. Rub is slipping fast, Taylor is hurt and now Hughes. A big man has to be something of a priority in this draft.

Good news is the Browns still have a large amount of money in the cap to throw at possible free agents.

Re: Because he has already served two games of the suspension, Gordon will be eligible to play Nov. 23 when the Browns visit Atlanta.

4-3 with games against Buccaneers, Bengals, and Texans before Atlanta on Nov 23. The Bengals are in 1st place at 4-2-1 and all the AFC 2nd place teams have at least 3 losses too.

Anyone think the Browns still have a realistic chance for the playoff?

Me neither.

Of the remaining schedule... I see 4 wins, maybe. 7-9 most likely.
