That little turd is fun to watch sometimes...

I'll give him some credit today -- he actually slid and ran out of bounds instead of trying to take defenders on.
That was one of the things I didn't think he'd be able to change and lead to his quick demise. Still think somebody like Shazier is going to destroy him sooner or later though... he's not fast enough to consistently get away from NFL defenders.

So how do you cut Crowell after tonight? Can't hide him on the practice squad.

That was going to be doubtful from the beginning even if he hadn't played well. Someone would have probably given him a cup of coffee just to see what he could do. Only way to stash him would be the IR, but seeing him play last night I have to believe they can find something for him to do on the Browns roster. With Gordon gone they might be able to give Crowell his spot and use Lewis as an extra slot WR. It will be interesting to see what they do with FB since Agnew started last night and Grey didn't play till the end of the game. I still think Boren would be a better blocking option than either of them and only gets beat by Grey in the RAC or lining up at TE.

At least Hoyer looked like the best QB last night, which was good. You can see flashes in Manziel, but IMO the best case for the Browns is for Hoyer to play well enough to start the whole season and hold Manziel off till next year. If he can learn to use his feet at the right time without Shanahan going all RG3 on him he could be ok. He does seem to have the ability to keep his eyes downfield when the pocket breaks down, which will be helpful as long as he doesn't get murdered while he's scrambling. I think you can tune the offense to him without over using the read option.

It will be nice to have the starting DB's back for game 1. I'm looking forward to seeing what the defense can do once they unleash the whole scheme.
