Gun shy wouldn't surprise me. They've basically had 8 weeks getting drilled into their heads that even breathing on the receiver is a penalty.

Gilbert was all over his man but couldn't get his head around. Willing to give him time to develop. Solid showing thus far. We don't even have Skrine out there.

After thinking about it they didn't draft a CB in the top 10 to drop 8, but they aren't going to show the Steelers anything during the preseason. If they start bringing 5 or 6 with Bryant, Mingo, Kruger, etc the QB isn't going to be standing back there hitting open receivers.

First really bad run play on D.

Is Haden not playing?

That cut back was just waiting to happen - especially when the only backside contain is Mingo.

Haden and Skrine are not playing tonight. Nothing serious. I guess Haden has a sore foot and I can't blame Pettine for just telling him to rest.


Edit. So... Robert Quinn is still really good.

This is the tune up for the season. If they know Gordon won't be available for the first part of the season they need to get work for the guys that will be there. Probably get Gordon in the 2nd half with the guys that won't make the team.
