bess's contract is up after this year. he was an undrafted FA that isn't making much of anything. it would just be another head scratching move for a team that's had their offseason mode set on stupid for well over a month, especially if they actually trade for brandon albert, which just may be the feather in the stupidity cap.

3.4 million cap number for this year.

that's his straight cap number. that's not what miami would save by trading him as they still would have to eat the guaranteed portion of that contract. since bess got a roughly $3 million signing bonus on his deal, that means miami will be eating around $1 million of that amount, maybe more depending on other guaranteed money and such. so, they aren't saving much of anything to roll over by dealing him.

Right so, 2.67 million... which is more than "not making much of anything"

Did I mention Mike Wallace's cap hit is 17.whatever million next year?

Whatever doesn't matter much the Dolphins actually want something for him apparently, we'll only know what that is if something happens.

Weeden and Campbell are there so there is no reason in hell to pick a quarterback at 6 especially in this draft.

No way Geno Smith is the pick. It has to be smoke. They just aren't that stupid. There are so many other needs on this team and they have NO idea what Weeden can do so why waste the pick?

Stand pat and take the best player available in a draft this shallow unless someone makes you a ridiculous offer.

Jordan, Milliner or Rhodes are they guys I really want and at least one of them will be available with that pick.

You sure about that? They picked a nearly 30 year old QB in round 1 last year. I know this is different management, but it's still the clowns....and LOMBARDI is now involved.
