There are rumors Miami wants to trade up, so Bess could be packaged in that deal...I guess...but the question is how many WRs do we want to bring in at once. I'd rather trade for picks or use the pick we have for a defensive player. That said...The SMITH era will begin soon...

Nah, this is a Salary dump I'm guessing.

Dolphins have the 12, 42, 54, 77 and 82.... in the first 3 rounds. I think the dolphins are looking for a cap rollover to be able to absorb Wallace's cap number, so, they may be getting a better deal by taking him.

bess's contract is up after this year. he was an undrafted FA that isn't making much of anything. it would just be another head scratching move for a team that's had their offseason mode set on stupid for well over a month, especially if they actually trade for brandon albert, which just may be the feather in the stupidity cap.

Say it ain't so . . .

The potential trading partners aren't yet known, but the Browns have long been favorites to land Mallett. Not only did Browns general manager Mike Lombardi gush about the trade on NFL Network, but behind the scenes, Lombardi pushed Bill Belichick to take Mallett.

And while most teams haven't seen much of anything from Mallett in his two mediocre (at best) preseasons, Lombardi's son, Mick, had a front row seat for every practice as a coaching/scouting assistant. Mick Lombardi is now Jim Harbaugh's assistant with the 49ers.

The Browns don't have a second-round choice at this time, but could trade down and pick one up.

I'd rather the Browns get Mallett and not use their first round pick on Geno Smith, I guess. So there's that.

Regarding Bess, I don't think he would cost much. I don't think it's a necessary move, but it would add some competition and a guy who is good at getting first downs. He's a solid player.

well, I might as well go on record and say that I would not mind Ansah as long as they do not move up to get him. I also would like them to draft a safety in the third round but I do not think anybody has any idea what they are going to do.

Definitely a lot of talk going on even the mock drafts are all over the place with the Browns trading their 1st and moving down to 11 or 12, to Millner, Smith, Ansah, Mingo, and even saw one with Star out of Utah being the pick.

I'm at the point where I don't give a crap what they do. Especially after last year. I guess I expect to be disappointed by those ass clowns!

Again, if it isn't Milliner and we end up in a trade down, give me Vaccaro. That secondary needs some serious help.
Well I agree with you regarding the secondary needing quite a bit of help, I think there are some guys who could probably play a pretty good free safety that we could get in later rounds. I do not know who but I do not think every safety was a first-round draft but then again….

There's merit in what you're saying but I want someone with serious impact at that position. It's been too long. I think Kenny can be that player.

I'm taking an extra shirt to the draft party tonight in case we do pick Geno. I'll immediately walk outside, take off my Browns gear, burn it, then piss in the ashes.
