Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

To be honest, I can't think of one player that left Cleveland and outperformed what he did here...

- Stonehands Edwards was exceptionally mediocre in NY before bouncing around the league and ending up out of football.
- Winslow caught a lot of passes, but he did that in Cleveland. I can't remember one memorable play during his time in Tampa, and I'm pretty sure everyone here was glad to see him go.
- Droughns...this one can't be serious.
- E. Wright defined medicority in Detroit and Tampa. So much so, that he's now out of football at age 28.
- Hillis did nothing in KC
- Faine was solid after leaving, made 1 pro-bowl, but he was incredibly average during his three years in cleveland. They let him go and signed LeChuck to replace him. Unfortunately LeChuck got hurt, otherwise that would've been a HUGE upgrade.
- Wimbley picked up some sacks on really bad defenses. I wouldn't say he was much better than when he was here. He's a one-trick pony, and I can't see how he's missed.

There's a lot of things to bitch about that franchise, but them shipping out players and having them blow up elsewhere is an empty premise. That's the Tribe's M.O...

no, you must be a mark like me. that's the only possible conclusion, even though i haven't been to a game in 3 years that i had to pay for. you are clearly deviating from the woe is me platform. that's dangerous.

I'm over it.. especially after watching the 100th 'expert' state that RBs are filler (with the exception of AP) in todays NFL
Ironically what I've seen indicates that Hall will be in more demand than Hyde in the NFL !?!!!
Was still under the premise the hulk back with speed was the one to have

Half of the time I'm not even sure the NFL "experts" have really watched what works and what doesn't work. After all, some of these same experts think Johnny FUBAR is going to be a viable NFL QB.

In a majority of cases, quite possibly even with Richardson, I cannot blame this outfit for letting players go. What I fault them for is the inability to identify players through the draft, develop them, get productivity from them, and put a decent product on the field. Especially on offense. I've posted this before, but in now their 15th year, they have TWICE put something resembling an NFL offense on the field, and once (2007) was against one of the weakest schedules a team has ever had to navigate. Here's the numbers of points scored in each year...

1999: 217
2000: 161 ()
2001: 285
2002: 344
2003: 254
2004: 276
2005: 232
2006: 238
2007: 402
2008: 232
2009: 245
2010: 271
2011: 218
2012: 302
2013: 16 (2 games)

So, in the 14 seasons coming into this year, they've averaged 261.5 points per season, or 16.3 ppg. Take away the 2007 outlier, it's 250.7 points per season, or 15.7 ppg. This year should fall right in that average barring a miracle. That is simply astounding. Not only have they put a bad product on the field for a decade and a half, it's also been an exceptionally boring product. I don't understand how anybody can support this sleep-inducing shit show anymore. They are the Prairie View A&M of the NFL.

Not indicative of this trade- I've actually cooled on it, though I really do think he'll find success here in Indy.

But, there is no doubt in my mind you could take any Browns' season ticket holder and let him run the franchise for any 18 month period and have more success than the Browns have had the last 14 years.

They have literally made the wrong move 9 out of 10 times.
Richardson was one of two Browns players that actually looked decent during the preseason game here. It won't take much for him to be a more productive back than any that the Colts currently have. My concern if I am Luck is can he block. That missed block by the RB against the Tunas late in the game sealed their fate.

Back to the Browns..I think opposite George is in order.....He had so much promise

Pretty sure the nail in the coffin here was TR's allergy to blocking.. specifically blitzing LBs...
there was a reason he seldom saw the field on 3rd downs... his matador impressions

We're on pace for a 128 point season through 2 weeks. And there's nothing that shows a whole lot will change the last 15 weeks (14 games)
