Not trying to be a negative Nancy, but...

they didn't look so hot. Weeden 6-9 for 60+ yards, int. and a fumble. He is a rookie and had some moments. Mo Mass out of game with head injury. Paxson out of game w injury. Patterson out of game w injury. I think 5 players total were out of the game w injuries w 7 min left in the first half.

Travis Benjamin and Weeden hooked up for a long pass play. Gordon needs a ton of work on running routes. Gordon has been targeted 4 times and has 0 catches. Very sloppy game for Cleveland. 30+ yards in penalties in first half alone (Detroit had 0 if you can believe it).

Very hard to tell with all the players that are out and it being the first pre season game so I'll remain cautiously optimistic that there will be a ton of improvement between this game and the next game.

But, yeah. I know it's the first preseason game, but they look like shit. First instinct: 4-12, and Shurmur hopefully shitcanned right after the new year.
