Cleveland Browns (2011 season)

this team is worse then last years team...last year we at least beat 2 quality teams, new orleans and new england...if we cant score a TD against the rams then we could very well lose every game the rest of the season...peyton hillis being a bitch doesnt help either

At this point I'd waive Hillis or put him on the IR. His days in Cleveland are over as far as I'm concerned.

As for the rest of it:

1) This team needs an honest to God OC to free up Shurmur to go ahead and fail as a Head Coach without distractions.

2) If this organization does not draft an impact player with their almost certain top 5 first round pick next year I may give up entirely. The lack of impact talent on this team shows.

3) isn't the goal to score a TD? This offense becomes mega-conservative once it is inside of the opponents' 30. Maybe it's the talent, maybe it's McCoy, but the same thing did not happen last year quite as much.

4) Given what we've seen from this team this year and looking at their remaining schedule, this could very well have been their last winnable game. 3-13 here we come! :banger:

They lost to the RAMS!?!?!?!?!?! Fuck this maggot invested turd of a franchise. Just unreal. :slappy:

and they invented a new way to lose - I mean who could have ever thought about having the guard kick the long snap but only enough to screw up the timing, as the ball still sorta kinda made it back to the holder for the missed FG....Amazing creativity - the WWF couldn't script it any better

C'mon Mike, this is the clowns. No matter how bad they are, you know you can count on them winning 1-2 pointless games that they have no business winning just to [censored] up their draft position. Death, taxes, and the clowns [censored]ing up. It's inevitable.

I've stopped watching and mostly just laugh at "highlights" and fan accounts, but I really wish I had seen that live. I may have orgasmed from laughing so hard.

I don't know that I even care that they improve at all anymore. Like a beaten dog, I almost take pleasure in their failures now. In my mind, any entity that has so much fan loyalty, and continuously [censored]s up so badly, doesn't really deserve any support. At least we're not iggles fans, I guess.

Saw this posted on Waiting for Next Year = Browns offense a joke around the league

partial quote from the article attributed to Michael Lombardi
Writing about the Browns offense leads me to a game I play every week at NFL Films. I sit in my office in Mt Laurel, N.J., put the Browns offense on my screen and call a friend who was a coach in the league, but is now in between successes. I tell my friend the personnel group, the formation, where the ball is located on the field and what hash mark and describe the motion — if there is any — and ask him to tell me the exact play that will be run. He is correct about 95 percent of the time. No lie. The Browns are so integrated into the West Coast system that their predictability is becoming legendary around the league.

Wow. I guess the Browns OC is working out of Columbus most Saturdays in the fall

we need a richardson or a blackmon...and our 2nd pick should be used on next best player available...that includes a qb

I understand a QB, but if Trent Dilfer can win a Super Bowl I'd rather use the pick's on other positions. No one really impresses me this year anyway. If they get Richardson and a #1 WR Colt's performance next year will be all on him.

They won with Dilfer, yes, but they had, arguably, the best defense ever. It's the exception, not the rule. Look who has won since...

- Brady
- B. Johnson (w/another exceptional defense, but he was pretty good that year)
- Brady
- Brady
- Rapistburger
- Peyton
- Eli
- Rapistburger
- Brees
- Rodgers

The five before Dilfer
- Warner
- Elway
- Elway
- Favre
- Aikman

So, yeah, QB is pretty important unless you have an all-time defense.

Best. 22 yard FG. ever. :slappy:

I mean fuck, all you can do is laugh. What's really hilarious is listening to Shurmer trying to sound POd at the post-game presser...he sounds like he is going to write the team a strongly worded letter any second
