Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

If they don't think they have a good value pick at 5, they can/should trade down and get better value + another pick. There are some teams who would like to move up for Raji (Browns might want to take him if Rodgers leaves).

There's good value in the second round/late first for needs that the Browns have. There are quite a few corners and safeties, and some pretty good-looking LBers. A few that I like who aren't being mentioned too much are Clint Sintim (OLB), Patrick Chung (S), Louis Delmas (S). Good prospects that will probably go in the second.. if they can trade down a bit and still get one of their top guys.. do it.

Agree 110%. Trade down and get an extra pick. Plus, If Shaun is going to bitch dump his fat ass for a mid rounder or two late ones. Work out something with the Raiders, Al Davis loves those types.

And trading down is so easy a caveman can do it :roll1:

It is not very often that a team trades up into the Top 5. Cuz a ton of teams would love to trade down. Throw in the economy the cost of paying that pick makes more teams see how far a player can slide before they have to react. So while I would love the Browns to trade down, I assume that won't happen no matter how bad the Browns try.

But I do have to agree with 3074326, if the Browns trade/release Rogers, than Raj is the pick (or he better be)

Just announced - traded to Tampa Bay for draft picks ... more to come.
Hopefully we got some good picks out of this, but I'm very happy to get this done. The man is playing with bone on bone, and he won't last more than a couple more years. It's good to get something out of him now, and also get rid of this run block liabilty.

Hopefully Rucker is ready.

That is probably the key. Mangini wants to run the ball so you need TEs that are willing to block.

It will be interesting to hear what we got for him. Too much to pray for a 3rd rounder?

I was thinking that it should at least be a third rounder. Was actually hoping for a third and a late round pick.

about 50 different combinations tossed out there. the best so far being a 2nd and 3rd, and the worst being a 3rd and 5th.

i'd say 90% of the projections have a 2nd rounder in it.

I guess a little bias here, but there are some great veteran Buckeyes available/might be available that could really help this team.

I'm not sure what the price tag on a Galloway, Springs, Pace if he gets cut would be....but I'd love to get in the mix.
