Cleveland Browns (2009 Season)

Finally something I can cheer about as a Browns fan this season. I hated having to cheer for a former Scum player to make plays for my team. It seemed like Clevelands draft plan was always to take a guy from a team that I can't stand and pass on any talented Buckeyes. 1st Winslow and now Braylon.....things are looking up. Who knows maybe this helps Robiskie get some playing time. Picking up 2 draft picks also helps us a lot. GO BROWNIES! WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!

Also as per ESPN.....the 3rd round pick can turn into a 2nd round pick if Edwards delivers the right numbers this year. 2nd and a 5th round pick for a guy with no hands, sounds like the greatest trade in the histroy of the world.

So long stonehands. :groove2::groove::groove2:

New York is gonna eat him alive. Jets fans won't stand for all those drops. I bet he's crying in a press conference inside of six weeks.

Two draft picks, a WR and a LB? I'd have been happy to get a couple Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons in return...

If Edwards ends up having a passable last half of the season (say 500 yrds and 4-5 TD's) AND the Jets make the post season - it'll be interesting to see how the trade is interpreted.

Needless to say - he'll likely run his mouth.

The only negative interpretation would be that it was too late, like dealing Anderson or Brady a year or two ago.

They just snagged a few picks to rid themselves of a cancer in the locker room who was not resigning this offseason.

A wide receiver who can't catch a football?

I'm surprised this team didn't pick him up!!!

I would have been happy with a guaranteed #2 and a #5 and the Jets could have kept one of their players, preferably the WR since the LB is supposed to be a pretty good special teams player. The Browns just waited too long to pull the trigger. We could have gotten so much more during the draft.

I think both Quinn and Anderson have value somewhere in the league. I guess I really don't have a favorite anymore. If Anderson can win some games are the Browns and cut down on his interceptions I am fine with him as the starter. We will never recoup what we gave up for Quinn. If the OBR is true regarding Quinn checking to the wrong play, I just don't understand how the coaches did not catch on to that before.

Oh, let's go Robiskie:) I think is special teams problems are over.

I call shenanigans, no one was offering much more than what we just got. I am surprised at what a team actually gave up for this turd. He can't catch, he is a cancer, and doesn't even know his plays. For someone to give us players that actually want to play plus two picks, I'm ecstatic. This is totally addition by subtraction. Hopefully, Robo can start getting some playing time.

I do know we all have our opinions regarding what we might have gotten for Edwards during the draft but I think we would have gotten at least a #2 and #4. If the trade works out with the Jets and we do get a #2, then I'm happy but I am unsure if we will get that #2. There is a lot more value in a second and fourth round pick than a third and fifth rounder and I doubt if those players that we received are going to be game changers. We could have almost done without them.
