Cleveland Browns (2007 & prior)

How does Browns' '06 team stack up?

Comparison of rosters by position over years shows little progress

By Patrick McManamon

The Browns are in their third incarnation since 1999 and entering their third season after a coach and front office was in place for two seasons. Chris Palmer and Dwight Clark had the first two years, then Butch Davis entered as coach. Davis had two years, and in his second season took the Browns to the playoffs before blowing up the team. Now comes the Phil Savage/Romeo Crennel tenure entering Year Three.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm not ready to give up on Charlie yet.

I'm not either.

I don't think any option at QB that will be available this year either in the draft or in FA will be a good move for the Browns to make.

The team has other obvious and gaping needs.

ok do you guys hate Quinn so much because he went to Notre Damn over OSU or do you just think he sucks and will not make a good NFL, because I think he will make a fine NFL QB after all he has been running an NFL type offence at Notre Damn.

I dont think he will be able to just come in and start I think it will take a few years before that however I do thinbk he will be a fine QB for some team in the long run.

I don't think he'll be a good NFL QB in Cleveland. He'll end up like Tim Couch if he goes there. I'm sure you've seen what happens when Brady Quinn was under pressure at NoD. Think of what he'll be under behind what the Browns will have as an offensive line next year. That's not a good situation for all involved.

And he never beat anyone worth a damn at NoD either.....
