Browns' Wright placed on IR

Wednesday, December 20, 2006

Jason Wright, who provided a bit of a spark to the Browns' running game this year, will not play in the final two games because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

...That's funny. The Browns should care who the fans want to be QB because... the fans have done such a great job of picking out QBs over the years.

Browns fans have as good a track record at spotting football talent as the Browns themselves. :(

Joe "Willie" Namoth could be the starter and the idiot Browns fans would be yelling to replace him with Eric Zeier. I still can't forgive the idiot class for helping to run Bernie out of town... at least he got a ring out of the deal. The whole Holcomb-Couch situation was unbelievable. I hope to god that Smith doesn't end up in that mess, although the fan in me would love to see him on my favorite team.

Personally, I know it won't make a damn bit of difference who is taking the snaps until they get a line that can block.

By Steve Doerschuk REPOSITORY SPORTS WRITER

BEREA Head Coach Romeo Crennel says Derek Anderson will make his third straight start. Browns history says the Browns need two competent quarterbacks.

BEREA - Kellen Winslow said he's not upset about not making the Pro Bowl.
Winslow is second alternate at tight end, behind the two who made the roster -- Tony Gonzalez of the Kansas City Chiefs and Antonio Gates of the San Diego Chargers -- and first alternate Todd Heap of the Baltimore Ravens. None has as many receptions as Winslow's 76.
``Antonio and Tony are well-deserving guys,'' Winslow said Thursday. ``They've been in the league longer than I have, and they deserve the respect. I'm just going to wait my turn.''

BEREA Hawaii is a million miles away for even the best players on 4-10 teams.
Cleveland?s most deserving player, Joshua Cribbs, still is disappointed he won?t be flying to the Pro Bowl.
