Offense
Derek Anderson had some good moments, espe cially in a 13-for-13 passing streak. But the Browns are still too lopsided on offense to compete. Their running game remains missing in action.

Trimmed Holly not feeling spirit of the season

Baltimore- Browns cornerback Daven Holly was down on himself for giving up a 42-yard pass near the end of the game that led to a field goal and for not helping safety Sean Jones enough on the 77-yard touchdown pass that proved to be the game-winner.

BALTIMORE ? When Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback Steve McNair left the game because of a hand injury, the Cleveland Browns knew that anything was possible with backup Kyle Boller.

BALTIMORE -- This time when an AFC North bully on the street corner tried to beat the Browns up for their lunch money they at least fought back.


After being crushed 30-0 by Cincinnati and pulverized 27-7 by Pittsburgh in their last two division games, looking like skinny wimps each time, the Browns made the Ravens work to win 27-17 yesterday in M&T Bank Stadium. Baltimore did not lock up its 11th victory and clinch a playoff spot until Matt Stover kicked a 22-yard field goal with 2:53 left. By then the Browns were already out of timeouts.
