So, Dabo makes roughly $8.25M per year; Venables makes $2.4M and now Elliott makes $2.00M per year. That's $12.65 million per year, for just 3 members of the staff. This is the same dude who vehemently insists that college players shouldn't be paid?
He's basically one of those mega-rich televangelists

My comment is based largely around the teams they've fielded in the last 7-8 years.
That talent is not within miles of what they sign at qb, wr, dl. They've had scores of stars at all of those positions, and unheralded guys become studs.
Their next few teams may field a different caliber of player. Simpson was certainly a big step up.
This is like Michigan fans crediting the superior scouting and “development” of their 3-star prospects. When there are no other options, someone unheralded will be the starter by default. Most of our best LBs recently have been "unheralded" Simmons, Skalaki, BJ Goodson, Ben Boulware, Dorian Odaniel and Kendall Joseph
These guys won Championships and play in the NFL tho
Yeah, but how many September Heismans have they won? That's what I thought.
Comments that I saw from Dabo on this quickly went to talk about spring practices and 'dadgum' and how (even though they lost in the CFP) this decade is starting out better than 2010. He does realize the current decade started last year (2020) and not 2021? RIGHT!?!?Apparently Kendrick is no longer on the team.
Too bad considering our success against him.

Dabo Swinney speaks to why Derion Kendrick is no longer with Clemson’s program
“Really not much to say about that other than he’s not with us anymore, but also to say I love D.K.,” Swinney said. “Man, he’s a young man that I’ve always loved as a football player. He’s got a really good heart. He’s never been a disrespectful young man or anything like that. Just sometimes there just needs to be a change.”

Just sayin': Dabo really didn't say much; regardless, I have to think if Dabo actually believed all that (i.e. love, good heart, and never disrespectful, etc.) Kendrick would still be on the team.

Kendrick was also issued a citation for simple possession of marijuana
