Clarett spilling the beans

This looks like mudslinging solely based on the players that the author's pursued --- Mo C, Cooper, and Maldonado? Obviously the author's wrote the story based on a meeting with Mo C and then desperately sought other people to back up his story. The key is they needed to find RELIABLE sources to back up Mo C's accussations, not more unreliable sources. As Triumph would say, it is in effect, pooping on poop.

Am actually surprised they didn't get a quote from Derek Morris....maybe he's actually matured and refused to comment.

The more I hear about Mo C the more I am convinced that he felt a sense of entitlement based on his success as a freshman -- which led to the differences between him and Geiger. Overall, I am not that worried at this point as I am sure that Geiger saw the path that Mo C was cutting, and that's why Mo C is in this position today.

Great post Clarity - you have made us all feel better. However, since this thread is well on its way to a recrod for posts/minute on BP I just have to play Devil's advocate and try to stir it up again.

One argument is that you have the disenfranchised 'out to get' OSU players making up stories while the solid 'program' guys are defending an innocent program.

The counter argument is that the guys who have left OSU aren't part of the 'club' and have nothing to lose by telling the truth. While the players who have stuck with - and benefit from - the program are part of a vast conspiracy and don't want to break ranks.

I'm not saying that is the case - just trying to encourage fear and panic.

Carry on.

That post would cause suicides on BN. I'll bet you 50 vbucks you won't do it.

Should we even bother having this thread on the football forum? I'm wondering if Open Discussion isn't more fitting.

Honestly, while it's worth talking about and thinking about, it has nothing to do with our game against Purdue, or THE game that follows shortly thereafter. The timing of all of this is no accident, it isn't the first time that the issue has cropped up just before the Michigan game.

I don't know who we're making a statement to if we put this thread in OD and get back to the things that matter in the football forum, but it still feels like we'd be making one. Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but the whole "Maurice has no relevance" deal is just sort of sinking in. He has none. If something more serious comes to light because of this, then we'll deal when it. If someone with something to lose corroborates, then that's something entirely different too. Until then, I just feel like saying "so what" and talking about how we're going to break Purdue's heart with another close win over them.

Move it. He is no longer part of the program and has shown he wants nothing to do with the university.

If you do do that, you'll need to monitor and make sure no more threads start here in the football forum.. cuz you know more will start with guys coming over from BN and BSB, etc..

If you move it, someone will start a new one and wonder why we haven't heard about it yet.
