Along with the Civil War and the Iowa-tOSU game, each of the 3 BCS conferences without a scheduled CCG game actually had a winner-take-all game for the automatic BCS bid.

Doesn't look like Cincy can stop the run very well... or Lewis is that good.
Combination of both. I hate to judge how a game is going to go after one possession by each team, but there isn't one thing I can point to for Cinci right now. The Pitt pass rush dominated Cinci's o-line and Pitt didn't even need to throw one pass on offense because Cinci can't stop the run to save their life. If Pitt is running the ball this well on the first possession how's it going to be late in the game when the Cinci defense starts to wear down? Keep in mind Pitt can throw the ball, Stull is a pretty good QB, once they start mixing in some passes and keeping the Cinci defense off guard that's really going to make it tough.
Cinci showing some life on offense now with the running game. I think that may be the way to go in this game for them. They need to control some clock to keep their defense off the field and getting too worn out.

Part of me wants Cincy to have a slice of humble pie, but then again, I would prefer they win over any non-Ohio team. I would not complain if Cincy won the Big East. 2 Ohio teams winning 2 national conferences works for me :) Too bad Ohio lost...

Tressel would stuff Boom and Zoom down their throats in this game, with a side of Pryor :)

Cinci is certainly no defensive juggernaut, but Lewis looks like the real deal (I didn't know he was a freshman, reminds of some kid who played for tOSU - um maybe in '02, his name escapes me for some reason ). Good matchup, if Pitt can keep the Cinci offense off the field, I like their chances. I'm pretty indifferent about the outcome, Cinci fans could use a little humbling imo.

It has already been said in other threads long before this, but Pitt is going to have to beat UC and the refs to pull out this game.

They can't stop the run. Fresno State had the right idea, but they didn't have the horses to come out on the winning side. UConn had the right idea too, but they didn't figure it out until it was too late.

I'm glad UC finally has to face a team that will commit to running the football from the first snap, and has the players in place to make it work.

I've said since the Fresno State game that Pit would do that and the matchup was not a good one for Cincinnati. The only thing that can keep Pitt from winning this game is Pitt.
