Friedl and Hayes get back-to-back hits, and you'd think that would be the entire statement. But it's not. Elly then hits... into a double play to end the inning.

Elly seems to be hitting the same wall that he did last season when he wouldn't take the day off. Hits are way down and the errors up the past several weeks. Can't remember the last time he got a hit from the left side of the plate.

I find it impossible to sit here and notice the imperfections of one of the two legit MLB position players on the roster.

Elly and Sal, whatever...they are ball players. No worries about either one.

The rest are in contention for Mr. Red
