What a profoundly Reds way to lose today's game. Dropped flyball with 2 outs in the top of the 9th allowing the tying and go-ahead runs to score. Continued implosion by the bullpen puts them down 5 headed to the bottom of the 9th. Score 4 in the bottom of the 9 and have the bases loaded with 2 outs and McClain smokes the ball to right only for the right fielder to haul it in on the warning track.

Just so fucking typical.

What makes that worse was that it was Myers who dropped the ball, and he has been playing outstanding - particularly his fielding - since the all star break. Just sucks.

None of those 6 runs in the 9th were earned runs because that drop occurred with 2 outs and should have won the game.

As to McClain, he hit the grand slam in the 6th to put the Reds in front. Hitting a 2nd grand slam to win the game would have bought him some goodwill given his poor season.
