Playing behind a woeful offensive line, Joe Burrow was hit far too often during his rookie season. His rookie year prematurely ended when he tore his ACL in Week 11. Burrow showed that he was worthy of being the No. 1 pick prior to getting injured, as he was the NFL's passing leader through 10 starts. The Bengals addressed their offensive line by signing veteran free agent Riley Reiff. They also spent a second-round pick on Clemson tackle Jackson Carman and a fourth-round pick on East Carolina tackle D'Ante Smith. The Bengals strengthened an already solid receiving corps when they selected Burrow's former college teammate, LSU wideout Ja'Marr Chase, with the fifth overall pick. Given these transactions and what he showed in 2020, Burrow should be one of the league's most prolific passers in 2021.

If Reiff gets the job done, then the OL will imo. Having Su'a-Filo healthy is also important. I like an OL going Reiff, Jordan, Hopkins/Hill/Price, Su'a-Filo/Spain, Jonah Williams (or some combo of that). I think Carman and Smith can be very good, but they'll both need a year of development at least imo.

Moving on from the OL, Burrow does shoulder some of the blame on getting hit so much last year. I was watching his highlights from last year and while I love how he can extend a play, he needs to be smarter about how he does that. A lot of rookie QBs have that trait and I fully expect JB to correct it, but he does indeed need to improve on it to stay in one piece. The play he got injured on was not his fault at all, but there were a bunch of plays where he could have avoided a hit that could very well have caused an injury.

Ken Anderson, late Ken Riley to join Cincinnati Bengals' inaugural Ring of Honor class

Two Cincinnati Bengals legends will finally get the recognition many fans believe they deserve.

Former quarterback Ken Anderson and former cornerback Ken Riley will be inducted into the team's inaugural Ring of Honor, the team announced Thursday morning. Anderson and Riley will join team founder Paul Brown and former offensive lineman Anthony Muñoz. The four-man class will be formally inducted at halftime of the team's Sept. 30 home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Entering training camp, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been fully cleared for football activities after his rookie season was cut short by a torn ACL. However, the top brass does not plan on rushing the former LSU star back anytime soon. During the team’s media luncheon Monday, Bengals owner and president Mike Brown said the team will likely withhold Burrow from playing in the preseason.

“We probably aren’t going to put him out there until we get to the season because we don’t want to risk anything with him,” Brown said, via ESPN. “But his effort rehabbing was A-plus.”

Burrow was not listed on the Bengal’s physically unable to perform (PUP) list entering Wednesday’s first day of camp. The team provided an injury update on the second-year signal-caller ahead of time, suggesting Burrow “will be on the field, healthy, when training camp begins.”

Everything I am hearing is that Carmen is a fat lazy bust. Per Tony Pike’s training camp report on 1530 yesterday Carmen was a full go for practice yesterday and was given zero reps in team drills and very few in individual drills and was beaten soundly, again, in those. gee, I wonder if anyone saw this coming?
have not like this kid since high school. Both on and off the field. Hope he gets cut and the Bengals look even more foolish for passing on other linemen because Carmen ‘was the guy we wanted’.

Dislike button. The Bengals had one job to do this offseason. Protect the Burrow.

Shocker. I hated the pick when we made it, but was hoping for the best. Also read Chase has been struggling...I don't want to jump to early conclusions because they're rookies who haven't played a down in the NFL yet and it's just practice reports so far, but it's not sounding great so far.
