Cincinnati Bengals (Same Ole Bengals)

Significant improvement from Vigil, who just signed with the Chargers on a 1-year deal.

Also looking like Eifert will end up in Jacksonville. Maybe he can put in a good word and get them to bring Dalton in as well.

Not sure how accurate it is, but the Bengals were reportedly interested in Cam Wake and Reshad Jones. Don’t exactly need starter quality at DE, so Wake should be a nice addition. As for Jones, would much rather have Vonn Bell (imagine that) get signed, so we could have two solid coverage Safeties.

Huge move and at a position of big-time need. I feel really good about the future at safety with Bates and Bell, two outstanding coverage safeties that can tackle. And then Shawn Williams for depth and the occasional 3-safety look with Williams as the small LB. With the Waynes pickup to go opposite of Jackson III, that should make a pretty damn good secondary and obviate the need to draft there. I was going to say take Delpit in the 2nd round with the first pick if he is there, but now we don't need to.

On the draft, now I think we go Burrow and then the best OL and LB left in the 2nd and 3rd round...unless there is a WR that falls out of the 1st round that we love, could definitely see that with such a deep WR class this year. But Green and Boyd gives us a good 1/2, then you hope Ross gets more consistent. And Erickson had a really good year last season and Tate did as well. So I think with a QB that can get them the ball, we are fairly set there.

Really hoping Patrick Queen slips to 33. If none of the top LB’s slip far enough, go OL 2nd, then maybe try to grab Malik Harrison in the third. Hopefully we can get Thad Moss in the 4th or 5th to replace Eifert’s red zone ability (when healthy).

Murray is who I really want if he somehow falls to the 2nd...maybe even enough to trade our 2nd up to a late 1st to get him. But either of Queen or Baun I would be pumped with if we go LB in the 2nd. If not, definitely would like Harrison in the 3rd. Really like Isiah Wilson at OT in the 3rd though if he is there. Dream scenario is somehow we go Burrow, Murray, and Wilson, doubt it happens though.

Meant to say that I actually think we are killing it in free agency and making this draft much easier. Big time DT to go with Atkins, solid depth add at LB (not a solution though, need to draft a LB in rounds 2 or 3), and rebuilt the secondary with some quality DBs. Now we can draft Burrow at QB, get another OL in round 2 or 3, and rounds 4-7 be pretty wide open.

Edit: NFL.COM has a mock of us going Burrow, Baun and Wilson. That would be AWESOME.
