I like all of the picks so far, just a little annoyed Orlando Brown gets passed up, and is drafted by the Ravens. Hope they don’t end up regretting that.

Jamarco Jones is still available!Yeah, him and Mark Andrews both. Tough to pass on them but I really liked or 3rd round picks. We needed a LB bad and Hubbard is a steal where we got him. And I think it's a great spot for Hubbard, where he can groomed into a starting spot with the vets ahead of him. The wildcard to me is the 2nd round pick. It's clear we need another safety but I don't know anything about this Wake kid.

Saw the highlights from the first pre-season game against Chicago and thought the offense looked pretty sharp. Would have liked to see the entire first half, but looked like Dalton and the receivers played mostly well together. Mixon had a jaw-dropping touchdown, he is going to be special this year. Anyone see the whole game?
I'm looking at picking late in a 12 man this year. Mixon is on my radar... especially 2nd round if nobody is mentioning his name. I think he could have a 1200 yard season.
Watched the preseason game against Dallas last night. Really weird game...the first team offense could not have looked much worse, nothing clicked. Yet Price and Glenn looked great from what I could tell. But the offense could not get anything going. First team defense looked subpar at best, not sure we can expect much from the defense this year. Seems like the front 7 looked good, but the secondary not so much. On the plus side, both of our Buckeye rookies looked great. Price really looked awesome and Hubbard blew off the edge for a strip sack in the first half.
I just think we’re seeing an extremely limited portion of the playbook for the starters, and everyone offensively, to be honest. No need to risk injuries to Green, Dalton, Mixon, etc. They’re being extra careful with Eifert as well, which I’m fine with since Kroft and Uzomah are more than serviceable. I’m eager to see how this team looks once week 1 rolls around. It seems a lot of people have written them off now that Cleveland seems to actually want to compete again in the NFL. I’m not sure they’re a playoff team, but they’ve certainly made the changes I wanted to see in the off season.
They did release George Iloka today, which doesn’t surprise or upset me at all. He was always pretty average once he got his opportunity to start, and now this clears a roster spot for someone like Auden Tate who could be a red zone nightmare in the future for the Bengals.
I think you are right on the offense, the struggles seem to have been a product of being very vanilla. I think they have talent and it was frustrating to see us not be able to move the ball. But we have the pieces to be successful on offense.
But on defense...I am very disappointed with the Iloka release. Not because I am against it, but because who else do we have? We have neglected the safety position for a long time and I just don't know why the staff is so surprised that we don't have better talent. Really hope that Bates is a stud, because we need him to be. The safety position is looking to be a disaster this year.
