Cincinnati Bengals (official thread of False Hope 2015)

Andy Dalton is by far the best QB we have ever had when excluding games in the dark or games that matter. I was looking back at the game and was tempted to be impressed by his mid-afternoon performance against Oakland, but we have been there all too often.

The fact that last Sunday's win in Oakland was the first in franchise history, is ridiculous to think about. Glad they were finally able to get over that hump, and do it impressive fashion.

I like how Andy was able to get as many weapons involved in the game as possible. I think limiting AJ's touches early in the season, will pay huge dividends at the end of the season. Keep Eifert and Green healthy, keep the O-line healthy and hopefully the Bengals can finally win a playoff game. They certainly have both the offense and defense to do so, but staying healthy is the most important factor to this team's success.

Much better team than last week, and the defense was still impressive. Offense was able to move the ball, and when their #1 RB made a big mistake, they fell back on Gio and he was able to get the job done.

Most importantly today, NO INJURIES.

That's the most vital aspect, bar none. Last year's team was a legitimate contender...but the practice squad we had playing by the first round of playoffs was not. I follow the Bengals pretty closely and had no clue who half the team was by then. You can say "next man up" all you want but if you're surpassing the two-deep in the NFL, you have no chance.

That being said, I was very encouraged with our performance overall. Offensive line is punishing and good pass protection, Dalton looks sharp, Eifert looks like one of the best in the league, and our defense is pretty stout (a defense that gets our best player in Burfict back in Week 6 most likely). Defensive line is really getting some disruption. Not getting sucked in, as we went undefeated last September...but I will just enjoy the wins. I honestly almost enjoy Bengals wins more than Buckeye wins sometimes because it is far from expected. Anyways, 2-0 and Who Dey!

The offensive line has come a LONG way from 3-4 years ago when they were basically a run block only line. Now their pass protection is some of the best in the NFL for the first two weeks. Scary to think about.
