Cincinnati Bengals 2014 Thread of Frustration

They've had a great stretch, was only a matter of time until injuries brought them back down to earth. Especially this late into the season with such little depth.

Trust me, we know how that feels right now...so much of the NFL is just getting lucky by staying relatively healthy. We're so hobbled that even if we make that playoffs, we are likely out immediately. You can't be down Eifert, Marvin Jones, Andre Jones, Gresham, and Burfict and expect to win against good teams. Then you throw in that fucktard of a QB and there is really very little hope. BUT I will take the big win today and be happy with it.

Exactly. Since the Browns have been eliminated from playoff contention I'll be pulling for the Bungles. Although I'm all too familiar with how it turns out.

I get the dissapointment in Dalton. But from a Browns perspective it must suck to be second fiddle to a team who has had the same QB for 4 years, all winning seasons. While your team has gone through seven different starters during the same time. Sure Dalton isn't one of the top QBs in the league, but he has created stability and winning that the Browns, and many other teams, have never had in the same time period. He looks awful at times, but rarely doesn't bounce back. Sure, we would all love to have Luck, Rodgers, or Brady back there, and would love it if he could lead the team to a playoff win, but it's games like this that make me step back, laugh out loud at a team like the Browns, and feel relief knowing how much worse it could be.

Yeah and really I pull for the Browns every game it is not against us. As for the Bengals...Denver and Pittsburgh to close out is daunting. We would be lucky to split those two games. That gets us in I think but I really do not see us getting a win once we reach the playoffs. If we were healthy, I could see a deep run honestly. But I would be thrilled with one playoff win honestly.

If they win next week, you might catch Pittsburgh resting starters week 17. Do I think you near Denver? No. But you could beat the Steelers and dance at the wild card spot.

Bolded won't happen. Even if they win and we lose next week, that only gives them a 1/2 game lead for the division, so we still have our shot to win the division in week 17 and you want the home field advantage no doubt.

And the tie could help us in a wildcard scenario, just not in the AFC North race.

so something intresting..

If the Bengals lose their last 2 games (high probably)

KC beating Pitt next week could be bad for us

Had not thought about that...shit. Well on the other hand (and just humor me here as I enter into fairy tale land)...what IF we won and the Steelers/Ravens lost? That guarantees us the division.
