The question(s) is, who is a better that's out there and are they willing to play for us?

Word on the street, Mike Brown offered the job to Otto Graham. Bad connection, couldn't hear the answer. Brown demanding that Hamilton county pay to fix phone system.

I don't believe you have to get a "better" QB - what they need, first, is a reliable back-up that can groom a young up and comer taken in the draft.

That, and Palmer traded for best draft or player value.

But, never mind, this the Mike Brown we're really talking about. Master of the stupid move.

So, he'll let Palmer retire, or sour-talk the deals offered by other teams so Palmer is forced to retire.

No back-up QB, no future QB worthy of merit scouted and drafted. Need a real GM and scouting department to do those things.

I'm willing to bet that is not the question in Mike Browns mind.

The question to him is how much money do I owe Palmer and how much do I save if he actually retires? I can go 1-15 next year with him or I can go 1-15 without him.

Palmers agent has severely misjudged who he's trying to play hardball with.

Brown can be 1 and 15 and still make money. He has little to no incentive to improve and he has a history of pissing off everyone in the city, From Mike and Mike fans to the parents of the St. X and Colerain band members.

I wish he'd move to LA and we could open the place up to midget racers, wrestle mania, tractor pulls and rodeos. At least those folks are professionals.

Read the name tag. You're in my world now.

On the bolded - you have the implied order of events inverted

 well, you know what I mean

the team is going to be awful as it is next year, Benson is more than likely not returning, who the [censored] is going to run the ball? Bernard Scott, Cedric Peerman and Brian Leonard put fear into defenses im sure

starting a total schlub like Jordan Palmer at QB would assure no better than a 1-15 or 2-14 record (i'm sure they would somehow stumble onto 1 or 2 wins like a blind squirrel finding a nut) and the gateway to franchise QB Andrew Luck

Trade Carson

Tank in 2011 and start JORDAN Palmer at QB....

Take Andrew Luck #1 overall in 2012

thats my plan

Except that after picking Luck, Brown will diddle around with the contract, refusing to pay anywhere near what the second round picks get. Negotiations will drag into the middle of pre season and by the time Luck reports any chance of using him will be gone. The guy 's got a history...

The likely rookie wage scale will make this much less likely an option.
