Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

Forget Zooked. They've got a short turn around with the Friday Night game and Noel Devine on tap. If UConn can run at will on them then what will a player with Devine's skills do?

Cinderella might get donkey punched before she even gets a chance to go to the ball.

Good point.
The very few teams that they have played that had a decent running game have moved the ball on them and kept their defense on the field.

Any team that plays them, though, is going to have to slow down their offense. I don't think you'll see them losing a game the way OR lost to Stanford, being outscored in a shootout.

BTW - I've been rooting for UC becasue they are an Ohio team, and most of the kids are Ohio kids.
If some of their fans are jerks, and they sure are, who cares? If some of the players have been talking some trash about being the best team in OHio, well after the Purdue game, we really didn't have a convincing argument against them.
However, they are all writing checks with their mouths because they know they won't have to cash them, at least not this year.

After Brian Kelly is gone, I wonder how much talking there will be?

If you had a chance to pick two eligible teams to play in a major bowl, who would they be? This isn't about bowl projections ? this is about which two teams you would like to see in these 10 individual bowls regardless of what happens elsewhere in the respective bowls. You'll notice no Big East teams make the list. That's because we don't see any bowl games with Cincinnati being all that interesting. We're talking some really good football games in December and January that might make us pony up some cash and make the trip to see these matchups. Dream a little.

Zing!

But wouldnt it be nice to see cincy play an SEC team, or a big 12 team, or even PSU or USC? Those would make for interesting games. Then they could cash their checks.

Out of what you listed...

I'd take Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma State, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Penn State, Iowa with Ricky Stanzi at QB, Wisconsin and MAYBE South Carolina, Texas Tech and Tennessee against Cincy on any field.

And I'd also put up Houston and TCU into that mix. Houston because they would outscore UC and TCU because they would shut that offense down.

Checking their board apparently UC is a legit top 5 team because they can put up 700 yards of offense. :so:
So did Oklahoma last year...look at them now.

With all the rumors of Fat Charlie's imminent demise rolling out of Suth Ben right now, I wonder what the pucker factor is for UC fans...

That's a bit much. I bet Cinci could beat Penn State

Look, I respect all 3 of the mid majors that are in the NC hunt. I think that Cincy, TCU and Boise have all had great seasons. They've really come to epitomize the plucky, little engine that could aspect of a great mid major program.

Out of these three, great mid-major programs I have to give the edge to Boise right now. Let's face it; none of these three mid-major programs have played a schedule worth a rat's ass. Boise, however, does have the singular signature win (Oregon) of the group. Therefore, they should be the highest ranked and first in line for a possible NC game invite should Texas falter.

I'm interested to see what UC does against Pitt (who is a solid team this year) and to a lesser extent wvu. If they beat both of them soundly, I'll be much more impressed. Of the three, I would give TCU the best chance in a round robin because they seem to have a prety beastly defense. That's the best recipe for BCS success if they were to catch a team like a 'Bama or a Texas after being left out of the Title Game.

Normally don't listen to Colin Cowherd but he said the funniest thing I've heard in a while.... Cincy fan says..."How do you know Brian Kelly will leave for ND?"...

Colin..."Because you are Cincinnati Football".
