Cincinnati Bearcats (Juggalos official thread of Faygo)

Brutal shot taken by Gunner Kiel tonight. Kid shouldn't have even been playing. Five days after leaving the previous game with a concussion and he's back in there? Are the medical staff holdovers from the Dantonio era or something? If I were part of the Kiel family I'd be all over Tuberville, the administration, and anybody else I could get my hands on. I don't even give a [Mark May] about the Bearcats and I'm furious. The backup acquitted himself better tonight, but let's face it Kiel was rushed out there because the kid committed four fourth quarter turnovers on Saturday.

A FWIW

Tuberville was claiming it "wasn't a head thing. It was a neck thing." concerning the injury.

Poor bastard probably thought that there'd be less chance of the coaching staff killing him after he left Notre Dame.

After the freshman backup QB played pretty awesome and set school records, after Kiel went out, this is how it ended for the Juggalos.

I read the juggalo board. They don't give two shits about Kiel. If he has to scramble his brains in their pursuit of wins and P5 membership, it's a negligible cost in their minds. Now, nobody is coming out and directly stating that. Rather, it's just a blind unquestioning acceptance of Tuberville's decision to play him and his post-game quote that he "just had his bell rung" or just silence to the issue.

The only outrage is for the refs, the "shitty league we're stuck in" and the cheap shots.

I wouldn't look for anything from that imbecilic President either. Deep down inside, he knows that he's not getting into the AAU or a Comprehensive Cancer Center designation. They just dropped 11 spots in USN&WR. He desperately needs to move them into a big boy conference, so he can put it on his resume and hopefully get a job at a big boy school.

The replays showed his head bouncing off the turf, hard. The hit itself was shoulder to shoulder and the targeting call was waived after review.

He laid there for a good 5 minutes or more, not moving at all. Never saw him move as he was taken off the field on the cart. It did, however, look like he was responding to questions the medical people were asking by the way they were acting.

Tuberville said the 'neck thing' to the sideline newsbunny either going into the locker room at halftime or right after the game. Can't remember which it was...

After the game...

Tuberville said:
"He had a little numbness in his hands," Tuberville said. "I've had bad necks, I know what that's about. It's hard to overcome that. We'll go with Hayden [Moore] right now and let Gunner refuel."

Tuberville said:
"We just hope Gunner's OK," Tuberville said in his postgame news conference. "That's two weeks in row he's been carted off, and you know, I just feel for him. Two shots to the neck area is pretty tough for a quarterback."

Got his neck bell rung apparently.

I don't post on Bearcat boards or even read them. Those jackasses annoy me, too...Kiel, after the hit I saw him take in the Miami game, had no business playing last week...there was no way he was not concussed vs. Miami. I usually don't agree with everything you say about UC...but you are spot on here and I completely agree.
