So none of you would wear your Buckeye gear if you lived in Michigan? Or if you did then you would be attention seeking dickheads?

I dunno guys, if I lived in Athens, Georgia I would wear my Gator t-shirts or caps like I do now, deep in the heart of LSU country, but I don't do it to pick a fight here, and that would not be my intention if I lived in Athens. I wear UF gear because I love UF and I'm a proud alumnus, and because I am not going to hide those beliefs just because I don't live in Gainesville anymore, but have moved to enemy territory.

Granted, fuck those fair weather band wagon fans. But I have to disagree that wearing one's gear in enemy territory is purely attention seeking behavior.

You are an alumnus, these cocksmokers have never set foot on scUM's campus nor have any reason to root for them other than to be different.

It would be like a kid born and raised in Gainesville by a family of gator fans deciding to be a UGA fan to just show everyone what a dick he could be.

Add in the element of elitism scUM fandom represents and its doubly galling.

Can I just take a second and say it's great (but sad) hearing Spielman calling this game, and as much as I rag on Griese, he's done a very god job today letting Chris talk when he wants to talk and playing off of what he is saying in a complementary fashion. So here's to you Bob...I'll eat a taco for dinner in your honor  :tongue2:

All that said, Cinci doesn't exactly look like they have much of a defense considering we shut these guys down completely, but all of a sudden defense doesn't mean anythnig to the media I guess...that's soo 1995 :shake:

I don't think that's the point. I don't have any problems with people wearing Michigan gear in Columbus. Hell, for an alumnus it's perfectly normal. I remember seeing plenty of grad students at Ohio State who wore their Michigan caps or sweatshirts, and I don't remember them taking any crap.

What I think he was talking about are the "contrarians" who do it just to be different and poke a stick at the dominant culture. They never really bothered me, but I understand how they get on people's nerves.

Jesus, at least Illinois could control their suck enough to make a close game of it. That way, if Boise blew out a good Nevada team tonight, their might be some movement to jump them above Cincy.

Cincy, the (Big) least of the three undefeated mid-majors.

I like Cincy's offense and think they could definitely win a BCS bowl. I mean holy shit, 4 TD passes at half? 4th down conversions? I'm just happy when Ohio State gets a first down.

But their defense WILL get them killed.
Two different brands of football being played by the two schools.

Ohio State - Conservative, mistake-free (since Purdue) offense. Kick your ass back to 1980 defense

Cincy - Wide open offense, wide open defense. First to 50 points wins.
