really? because I've worn OSU shirts to UC games and have never had a problem.
What gets [censored]ing old is big brother crying and acting like a hard ass when little brother puts together a nice season. If little brother is nothing more than that, why not let it go?

If you've actually read any of my posts you'll find that on more than one occassion I have been critical of the way UC fans are acting. I've written letters to the athletic department and I've contacted the UCats and alumni association stating my donations will be non-existent next year because of the 'bUCkeye State' shirts...

it it gets so old to you that I defend my alma mater, I suggest you stop [censored]ing reading my posts. :)

H&G, your actions are commendable, but probably not typical of UC fans and certainly not the media. I hope you won't t make the mistake of considering yourself representative and then judge Ohio State fans badly when their response to UC fans in consistent with your behavior.

I too have friends who are UC alums and even current faculty. I began following them with interest when Dantonio went there. Not any more.

I guess it is a lesson in life that, whenever you find yourself belittling others in order to make yourself look big, then there's something very wrong with you, not them.

The Illini have little chance against UC but I hope they win or keep it close. Otherwise, Ohio State will get a nonstop diet of "the Big East is a stronger conference" and "UC is SO much better than Ohio State".

It won't matter that the Illini are bottom feeders in the Big Ten who lost to Ohio State 30-0. It will be forgotten that Ohio State dominates UC in head-to-heads, including recent years. Even though a game is scheduled in 2012, we'll be told that Ohio State is "ducking" UC because UC is "too good for them".

Already, there are claims that UC is Ohio State's rival, who we should play every year. Sorry, UC is gum on the sole of our real rival. No game against UC will ever be The Game.

I know that you know that and that you know Ohio State fans mean no disrespect in saying it. It is a statement of fact. I don't understand why UC fans couldn't just celebrate their year without trying to tear down Ohio State. But they did. They showed me that my support for their program was badly placed. They made me hope that they lose.

The Big Ten is in a down phase for the first time in a long time and they will shortly return to high levels, just like the conference has in basketball. It is still a better conference from top to bottom than the Big East.

Small man syndrome is unbecoming on anyone. Cincy fans would do well to remember that. Mediocrity is just around the corner.

And with the two yards on their first possession and the Illini marching down the field, UC fans begin to get that sick feeling in the pit of their stomachs. I mean this is, after all, the Big Ten, isn't it? Uh, they couldn't be that good. The coaches'll make adjustments....

If the Illini can keep the ball for another 6 minute drive, the Cincy defense could be getting set up to be Zooked in the second half.

On the other hand, they might just be Illinois.
